Volunteers are needed to purchase gift bakets items (called"Adopt a Basket"), wrap presents, deliver gift baskets, bake cookies, make stockings, host a drive to collect needed items such as non-perishable food, gloves and scarves, toys and gift cards, and running errands.  The recipients of these baskets are individuals living in Minnesota with HIV/AIDS and their families.  

Adoption of baskets is the greatest need.  How it works is that you get a wish list for everyone included in the household and you go and purchase the items, wrap them, and then drop off at the Aliveness Project in Minneapolis for delivery.  The baskets are then complimented with food, household and hygiene items.  The number of people in your basket will depend on your budget.  Anticipate approximately $35 per person.

In  tough economic times, donating is even more important than ever.  And, we might add, the most rewarding thing you can possibly do this holiday season.
